The Hungarian Pole Program is a comprehensive economic development program funded by Structural Fund sources with strong focus on the 8 pole cities in Hungary (Budapest, Miskolc, Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs, Székesfehérvár, Veszprém, Győr) and cluster development. Objectives of the Pole Program will be reached through the improvement of the business environment and cluster development.

The main problem, that “Innovoucher” wanted to tackle is, that SMEs didn’t have enough own resources to carry out innovative activities and to develop their services.The direct purposes of the project was supporting micro and small sized enterprises in innovative initiatives and motivate supply and demand in the field of innovation services.
The Hungarian government realized that the subsidization of innovation oriented R&D at universities is very important. The commercialization of these R&D results is essential as well. With the support of “Pázmány Péter Program” the industry and universities can cooperate and develop products/services/technologies together. This increases the regional and national competitiveness of the country.
