Brief report of the start – up meeting at Patras Science Park
At 19 January 2010, Patras Science Park, organized a successful start-up meeting for the project “MINI EUROPE” in its premises.
The meeting attended the project team from Patras Science Park working in the project and a group of more than 12 representatives of local stakeholders. There was participated the Vice-rector of University of Patras, representatives from the Regional Authorities of Western Greece, representatives from the Business Innovation Centre (BIC) of Patras, from the Achaia Chamber Commerce, from Etoloakarnania Chamber Commerce, from Ilia Chamber Commerce, representatives from Research Institutes (Institute of Chemical Engineering and High Temperature Chemical Processes (ICE-HT) and the Computer &Technology Institute) and representatives from enterprises.
Prof. Peter Groumpos welcomed the audience, presented the main activities of Patras Science Park and introduced the content of the meeting. Mr Bob Pels, general project Manager, representing the leader partner (Region of Flevoland) presented an overview of MINI Europe project and More4NRG project. Mr. Chrysostomos Stylios, presented the main activities of Patras Science Park in MINI Europe project.
After the presentations, there was an open discussion between the participating members of the meeting. They exchanged ideas about the best implementation of the project, local stakeholders presented what are expecting from the project and how theirs organizations could contribute to the success of the project. The main conclusion was how the results of the project could be further exploited to the region of Western Greece.
